MATERIALS CHARACTERISATION

We offer Contract Research for assistance and advice on materials' development and characterisation of mechanical and thermal properties over a wide temperature range and in controlled environments, for example air, nitrogen, fluid immersion and varying relative humidity.

We can provide materials' information for the glassy state, the rubbery state, the glass transition process, curing, and the effects of ageing. Dynamic mechanical and dielectric analysis are particularly sensitive to changes in polymeric structure in the solid state, for example with blends, the effect of cooling rate and the degree of cure for thermoset resins. Detailed analysis can assist in the optimisation of processing conditions.
